We are pleased to inform you that as of December 2017 we are signatories of the UN Global Compact. As such we are committed to supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. We are further committed to making the UN Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company, and to engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.

Letter to our customers

LEHVOSS Code-of-Conduct

We participate in the sustainability platform EcoVadis (https://www.ecovadis.com), which is also used by many of our suppliers and customers. On the basis of our activities / developments in the field of sustainability we have been able to continuously and significantly improve our rating in recent years and once again achieve the 'Ecovadis Silver Sustainability Rating' in 2023 with a further improved score.

Lehmann&Voss&Co. obtains certified green electricity for both German production plants (Hamburg and Solingen) as of 1 January 2022

From 1 January 2022, Lehmann&Voss&Co. will purchase certified green electricity (Certificate) for the two German production plants (Hamburg and Solingen) for the delivery years 2022, 2023 and 2024 from the energy supplier DREWAG. This green electricity meets the strict criteria of TÜV SÜD regarding generation from renewable energies.

It will cover the entire demand of the extrusion plants in Hamburg (Schimmelmannstrasse) and in Solingen as well as the company headquarters in Hamburg (Alsterufer).

Our data centre at our new external partner AtlasEdge, Hamburg is powered 100% by green electricity - another step towards a more sustainable future for the LEHVOSS Group!

LEHVOSS UK Ltd. are the British subsidiary of Lehmann&Voss&Co., a chemical company based in Hamburg, Germany, which has been selling chemical and mineral specialities to customers for more than 100 year and remains family owned. Established in 1990, LEHVOSS UK is a technical sales Organisation supplying raw materials to a variety of industries in the UK: Plastics, paint and coatings, rubber, lubricants, nutrition, diagnostics and personal care. LEHVOSS Group employs 600 globally with LEHVOSS UK employing 50 employees. The LEHVOSS group sources and supplies chemicals from / to all areas of the world. LEHVOSS is committed to ensuring that we have developed and strictly follow policies to ensure sustainability of our supplies whilst following ethical practices throughout.

It has been and continues to be the policy of the LEHVOSS Group to comply with all laws, domestic and foreign, governing our operations. These include (but are not limited to) laws dealing with modern slavery, cartels, corruption, accounting and tax, customs, export control, money laundering, conflict minerals, occupational safety, minimum wages and environmental protection, intellectual property rights and protection of business secrets as well as privacy.

We are pleased to inform you that as of December 2017 we are signatories of the UN Global Compact.
