LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70: A New Generation of Phosphite Antioxidants for Future-Proof Rubber Compounds

With LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70, LEHVOSS expands its portfolio with an innovative alternative to conventional TNPP-based stabilization systems. The new polymeric technology helps product developers meet technical performance requirements while addressing evolving regulatory and sustainability challenges.

The demands placed on modern rubber formulations continue to increase. In addition to reliable stabilization during processing and throughout service life, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and workplace safety have become key considerations for compound developers. To address these challenges, LEHVOSS introduces LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70, a new polymeric phosphite antioxidant specifically developed for modern rubber compounds.

This dry-liquid preparation represents an attractive alternative to LUVOMAXX® TNPP DL 70. LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70 effectively protects rubber compounds against thermo-oxidative degradation while offering low migration potential.

Designed for Demanding Elastomer Applications

LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70 is suitable for a wide range of elastomer systems, including EPDM, NBR, SBR, and BR. Typical applications include technical rubber products such as hoses, belts, seals, and cable compounds. When used in combination with primary antioxidants, it helps ensure long-term compound stability during processing and in-service performance.

Benefits

LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70 offers several advantages for rubber compound developers:

  • No GHS classification required
  • Free from SVHC substances and SVHC-related alkylphenol by-products
  • Lower migration potential due to its polymeric structure
  • Easy and clean handling thanks to its non-dusting dry-liquid form
  • Reduced dosage requirements: approximately 1.0 phr of LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70 can replace 1.5 phr of LUVOMAXX® TNPP DL 70

The lower dosage requirement can help reduce additive consumption and overall raw material usage within the formulation.

Regulatory Confidence Meets Sustainability

The underlying LGP technology was originally developed for demanding plastics applications and has received a positive assessment from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for food-contact materials. As a result, LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70 combines advantageous regulatory profile with a sustainability-oriented alternative to traditional TNPP-based stabilization systems.

Future-Proofing Rubber Formulations

With LUVOMAXX® LGP DL 70, product developers gain access to a high-performance solution for adapting rubber formulations to future market and regulatory requirements. Its combination of effective stabilization, optimized dosage, improved regulatory characteristics, and easy processing makes it an attractive choice for the next generation of technical rubber compounds.
